We the People
A community-driven archive of the present
History is not inevitable.
It is shaped by us.

The Goal is simple:
Nothing about this moment should be forgotten.
We were here. We witnessed. We record.
Bear witness. Preserve truth.
For Those Who Come After.
We the People Archive exists to preserve the voices, experiences, and creative expressions of individuals living through this defining moment in American history.
By inviting community members to contribute stories, art, media, and documentation, the archive builds a shared historical record—created not by institutions alone, but by the people themselves.

We believe that democracy depends on memory, and memory depends on preservation.

Historically, the most powerful movements for justice have been preserved through letters, testimonies, creative expression, and community recordkeeping. This archive continues that tradition by providing a space where lived experience becomes part of the historical record.

And it's only possible with widespread, public engagement from individuals living in or impacted by the United States (2001-present).

To build this archive, we need YOU.
Your voice, your work, your experience matter and should be part of the mosaic we are seeking to create, archive, and preserve, so that when we look back, or when our children look back, at this moment , all can see how we, everyday people, had a hand in making, affecting, and shaping this history.
Let it be known that history does not just happen to us.
